Member Spotlight: Golfing Fore A Cause

For the better part of the past two centuries, YMCAs across the globe have been uniting communities in their mission to give everyone the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. In the United States alone, the YMCA (or affectionately known as, “the Y”) has been making lasting impacts in over 10,000 neighborhoods by investing in community members from every generation and all walks of life. Thanks to the immense generosity of donors, the Y can provide much needed support to thousands of people each year via hundreds of beneficial programs and services.

To help the Y remain strong pillars of our community, they need the support of charitable donations – and who says charity can’t be fun?

So break out your golf clubs and get ready for the return of the 23rd Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic. Hosted by the Butler County Family YMCA from 10:30 AM-7:00PM on Monday, September 18, the event serves as a fantastic opportunity to help the next generations in our community while also having a great time out with fellow golfers.

Guests of the event will have the chance to participate in a full 18 holes of golf, as well as a number of basket raffles and silent auctions, with plenty of food and fun along the way. All proceeds of the event will go towards assisting kids from across Butler County through the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign, which funds a great deal of crucial programs.

By signing up to play or simply making a donation, you’ll fund things like the YMCA’s Water Safety program, which teaches kids how to be safe and smart when in and around the water, or the Reach & Rise program that works to give the next generation the tools and confidence to overcome challenges presented by the world of today. Moreover, generous contributions allow the YMCA to offer free or greatly reduced cost membership and services for the benefit of people in need across the nation.
