The Butler County Humane Society is facing a critical challenge and needs the community’s help. Its Pet Food Pantry, a vital resource for local families and pets in need, is dangerously low on supplies. With shelves nearly empty, the non-profit, no-kill shelter urgently calls for donations to help restock the pantry and ensure that pets in the community continue receiving the care and nourishment they need.
“Without the help of our community members, we cannot pay it forward to those who need assistance – human and animal alike,” the Cranberry Township Community Chest member wrote on Facebook.
The organization accepts open and unopened wet and dry cat food, dog food, and cat litter.
“On the last Thursday of every month, BCHS holds a public food donation drive to pay it forward to the Butler community,” the post reads. “Without food donations, we have to cancel our monthly food drive.”
