The annual Rain Barrel class collaboration between Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, and Seneca Valley School District students gave residents insight into how to save water and help the environment, one drop at a time! Residents left ready to roll with their own rain barrels!

CTCC provided a grant to purchase rain barrels and supplies for the class. Additional support came from The Home Depot and Baird Financial, which helped offset the cost to participants.
The project also supports Cranberry Township's MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) requirements, a critical component of local governmental management. The workshop helps fulfill municipal goals while building a stronger, more eco-conscious community by equipping residents with the tools and knowledge to make sustainable choices.
CTCC is proud to support unique, hands-on learning opportunities like the Rain Barrel Workshop - projects that educate, engage, and leave a lasting impact on the community we call home.
Thank you to all attendees, students from Haine Middle School, the Township Environmental Advisory Committee, and the Planning & Development Services Department for this fantastic Earth Week event!
