For more than 50 years, Cranberry Township Emergency Medical Services (CTEMS) has been at the forefront of caring for our community. As an independent, non-profit organization, CTEMS provides high-quality emergency medical care and transport services to Cranberry Township, Seven Fields, and parts of New Sewickley. But their mission goes far beyond ambulance rides – they’re here to promote health, safety, and well-being across the community daily.

A Commitment to Life-Saving Care

CTEMS operates around the clock, 365 days a year, to ensure every emergency call is answered. Whether it’s a critical medical situation, disaster response, or mass casualty planning, CTEMS is prepared to serve. Their highly trained EMTs and paramedics bring advanced, life-saving care directly to those in need, offering services that have evolved dramatically since their beginnings in 1969.

Starting as the Cranberry Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps under the Volunteer Fire Company, CTEMS has grown into a full-time, professionally staffed organization with a mission to preserve life and promote safety in the community.

More than Emergency Services

CTEMS isn’t just about emergencies—it’s about prevention and preparedness. It hosts a variety of public health initiatives, including CPR and first aid training, car seat safety checks, wellness checks, and safety events and prevention programs. Its dedication to health education and prevention underscores its belief that saving lives starts long before an ambulance arrives.

A Community-Supported Mission

CTEMS operates as a nonprofit organization independent of tax funding. Its work is made possible through health insurance reimbursements, patient billing, donations, and subscription programs. With the rising emergency care costs, community support is vital to its ability to deliver exceptional services.

Every donation helps ensure that CTEMS can continue to provide life-saving care, whether through a swift response to an emergency or a wellness program that prevents one.

A Legacy of Service

Since its founding, CTEMS has adapted and expanded to meet the needs of Cranberry Township and the surrounding communities. From a volunteer-based service in 1969 to the highly skilled professional team it is today, its dedication has never wavered. In 2011, it officially became Cranberry Township Emergency Services, continuing its legacy of innovation and care.

CTEMS saves lives and gives people another chance to celebrate birthdays, attend family picnics, and spend time with loved ones.
